As I have stated before it takes a special someone to be able to put thier heart and soul out there for others to get encouragement from. I have never thought of you as ordinary, in fact there were a lot of times of I was jealous because you always had a smile on your face and always found a way to make all of us around you laugh.

I can't even begin to tell you for how long i have felt ordinary and well even less than at times. I still look back at my life and wonder why did God put me on this earth because I have not contributed in any great, haven't came up with that cure, or started that organization for the special needs, I didn't even finish college for crying out loud. But I am a Mom and my kids are doing great in school, better than I ever did, treat people with respect and I still to this day get compliments from other parents about how well behaved my kids are and that they were a big help while over at thier house. Although it's not a cure for Rhumetoid Arthritis it is a step in keeping what little morals this country has left. So with every word you share, the way you raise your kids, support your husband, share a smile or a hug you have become extra-ordinary!

Thank you for sharing and helping me get over the hurdles I have been facing the past few days!!Michelle Meyernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40842215061373851.post-20610423039165920672011-01-21T15:02:09.619-08:002011-01-21T15:02:09.619-08:00Mel,

Your willingness to share your thoughts and feelings openly and be so vulnerable is a blessing to many, even if you don't know it! You have made a difference in many lives whether through your leadership in the youth group at Sunrise or in the ER. I think it's just a sign of your overflowing heart that you want to do MORE. You are an amazing woman!

Jennifer Anderson (Grossi now)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40842215061373851.post-14099515409999133952011-01-20T13:01:42.595-08:002011-01-20T13:01:42.595-08:00Amen Mel! Everyone may praise us for our singing, but if we accept that praise and do it for our glory and not His, we have received our reward here. I am trusting that His reward is much greater! When you do have a gift, it is very easy to allow pride to say, "look what I have done!" Rather, it is the Lord that has allowed you to reflect His glory. You were right on to go to Ch. 12 in Romans. But don't forget that in 3 places in the Gospels, Christ says, "For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." If you desire to be extraordinary at anything, be extraordinary at Loving Him!Ben & Tinanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40842215061373851.post-63123949681543532002011-01-20T12:26:00.730-08:002011-01-20T12:26:00.730-08:00Thanks, Mel. You are right that God made us exactly this way to do EXTRAORDINARY things for Him! What a great reminder.
BTW- you are a great friend; and extra-ordinary friend. And I count myself as blessed to call you such!Jo Truaxnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40842215061373851.post-84114762999483656842011-01-20T11:15:15.532-08:002011-01-20T11:15:15.532-08:00MG
